WHO accepts corona outbreak by air, said- it cannot be denied

Read Time:1 Minute, 41 Second

World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday acknowledged the outbreak of corona infection by air, saying it cannot be ruled out. The WHO has accepted evidence of corona virus outbreak by more than 200 scientists worldwide. A group of scientists has asked the WHO to issue new guidelines regarding the corona virus.

Maria Van Kerkhov, technical head of the Corona Epidemic at WHO, told a news briefing that we are talking about the possibility of airborne transmission and aerosol transmission as one of the transmission methods of corona infection. Have been. We cannot deny it.

WHO had earlier said that the virus that spreads corona infection causes respiratory diseases. The WHO said that it spreads mainly through small droplets from the nose and mouth of an infected person and spreads by touching the infected surface, but the WHO based Geneva in the Clinical Infectious Diseases Journal on Monday In an open letter published in 23 countries, KS 239 scientists gave evidence that the tiny corona particles present in the air can infect people. Scientists have urged the WHO to issue new guidelines for the corona virus.

At Tuesday’s press briefing, Benedetta Allegranzi, WHO’s technical lead for the prevention and control of corona infection, said evidence of corona virus spread by air was present, but it was not certain. He said that the possibility of spreading corona infection by air in public places cannot be ruled out. Particularly in very specific circumstances, crowded place, closed space, where the air is not coming properly.

However, he said that there is a need to collect evidence and explain this. We support it. Any change in WHO assessment of corona infection risk may affect current advice to maintain a physical distance of 1 m (3.3 ft).

Van Kerkhove, the technical head of the Corona epidemic at the WHO, said that the WHO would publish a brief scientific explanation to clarify the situation in the coming years on the methods of the spread of the virus.
