Salman Khan & Shah Rukh Khan

Salman Khan once said that if I had done Baazigar, there would not be a vow today on the bandstand. Know why

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan were going to work together after a long time with the film Inshallah, but recently reports came out that Salman Khan has decided to withdraw from the film. There are also reports that another star can take the entry of Salman in this film, but this is not the first time that Salman has decided to withdraw from a major project. Earlier at the beginning of his career, he had turned down Abbas Mastan’s film Baazigar. The film went to Shahrukh again and proved to be a super hit. This film also gave a new flight to Shahrukh’s career.

Talking about this film, Salman said to Pinkvilla, ‘Yes I rejected Baazigar. When Abbas-Mustan brought the script to me, I talked to my father about it. He had said that since this story is of a negative character, he must put an emotional angle of the mother but the directors of the film did not listen. When I rejected this film, he went to Shahrukh.

He further said, ‘Shah Rukh not only agreed to do this film, but he also used mother’s angle in this film but I have no qualms about this thing. After this, Salman said in a funny tone, if I had done baazigar, I would not have made a vow at the bandstand today.

Significantly, not only Salman but Shahrukh have also left many important films. Munna Bhai MBBS, which came in the year 2003, was first offered to Shahrukh, but he rejected the film due to his injury. Shahrukh also felt that he would not be able to do justice to this film. There are also reports that Shah Rukh had suggested Sanjay’s name for this film. At the same time, Hirani first wanted to play Jimmy Shergill in the film to Sanjay Dutt but later realized that Sanjay was the best choice for Munnabhai.

Apart from this, he responded in his traditional style in the latest season of Koffee with Karan, saying that he is the fourth Idiot of Aamir Khan’s film Three Idiots because he rejected the film. This film is one of the highest-grossing films in the history of Bollywood.
