After winning five seats in Bihar, Gadgad AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi had dreams of winning in West Bengal, but Owaisi’s dreams were shattered after this election result. Asaduddin Owaisi, who was seeking power in the West Bengal assembly elections, was rejected outright by Muslim voters in Bengal.

Owaisi had fielded seven candidates from his party in this election and the bail of seven was forfeited. The seven seats where Owaisi has fielded candidates include Mofakkar Islam on Ithar seat, Alsokat Zaman on Jalangi seat, Nure Mahboob Alam on Sagardighi seat, Sajjad Hussain in Bharatpur seat, Maulana Motihar Rahman in Maltipur seat, Saidur Rehman on Ratua seat and Aansanol North. Danish Aziz was fielded on the seat.
All maths of Owaisi failed in Bengal
Owaisi concentrated on Muslim voters in Bengal on the lines of Bihar, but he did not manage to woo Bengal voters. To get the votes of Muslim voters, Owaisi had fielded Muslim candidates in all the seven seats, but Owaisi, the messiah of Muslims, failed all the mathematics here in Bengal.
Owaisi candidates did not get one thousand votes
Itahar seat has 52 percent Muslim voters, where Owaisi candidate Mofakkar Islam did not get even a thousand votes. Sagardighi seats where 65 percent of Muslim voters are there, Noire Mahboob Alam of AIMIM did not get even five hundred votes.
37 percent Muslim voters in Maltipur seat where Maulana Metihar Rehman, a candidate from Owaisi, also forfeited his bail. Jalangi seat has 73 percent Muslim voters but Owaisi’s party candidate Shaukat Zaman also lost. There is about 41 percent Muslim voters in Rahuta seat, where AIMIM candidate Saidur Rahman could not get five hundred votes. AIMIM candidate Danish Raza was also forfeited in the Asansol North seat where 20 percent Muslim voters are there. In Bharatpur, 58 percent of Muslim voters have also lost AIMIM candidate Sajjad Hussai
