Weather update: Possibility of heavy rains in these states of the country today

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be thunderstorms in Karnal, Haryana, Najibabad, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Khatauli, Hastinapur and Chandpur in the next few hours. Meanwhile, the trend of humidity continues in Delhi-SNR. People are suffering from heavy heat and humidity. The Meteorological Department has said that there is no possibility of rain for the next three-four days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of widespread rain in northeast India and eastern India for the next five days. Monsoon will remain active in Northeast Bihar till 3 July. During this time, the Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning in most of the districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has also predicted thunderstorm along with rain. This time in Bihar, the monsoon has come three days ahead of time and so far the state has received 92 percent more rainfall than normal.

With this, monsoon activity has increased in Central India. Rain activities are increasing continuously in the western coastal areas along with Central India. Rainfall activities are increasing, especially in coastal parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa. In such a situation, rain activities will continue in most parts of Maharashtra in parts of central India. There are chances of rain in Gujarat in the next 24 hours.

Chance of rain is less in Kerala and South Tamil Nadu. However, it may rain at some places. Rain activities may occur over the northern coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh. Monsoon activity in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern Uttar Pradesh has reduced considerably for the last two days. However, light rain may occur at some places in these states. There is no possibility of torrential rain in the states of Northeast India.

Rain will pick up in UP tomorrow

People who are waiting for rain are expected to get relief. According to the Meteorological Department, after two days, the monsoon will be active again in the state and there is a possibility of light or strong rain for three to four consecutive days. This will get rid of the humid heat. This time in June, good rains have been recorded in the last three-four years. Uttar Pradesh received 139.9 mm of rain as against the normal 95 mm of rainfall till June 30, while only 37 mm of rainfall was recorded till June 30 last year. JP Gupta, director of the Meteorological Center, says that rains are expected to pick up from July 3. After this, a period of light or strong rain will continue in the state for the next three-four days. There will be partial change in the capital on Thursday. Showers may also occur.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in some places in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Thunderstorms and gusty winds may bring scattered showers in western Uttar Pradesh. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in the capital was recorded at 34.1 degrees Celsius, 1.7 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature was around 27 degrees Celsius below normal. Humidity in the atmosphere is around 95 percent.

Floods have taken a severe form due to the incessant rains in Assam. Seven more people have died due to floods and landslides in the state. So far, 33 people have lost their lives in accidents related to it. More than 1.5 million people have been affected by floods and natural disasters in 21 of the 23 districts of the state. However, according to the Meteorological Department, people are troubled by the humid heat in North India including Delhi. The heat is constantly increasing due to no rain. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in north India including Delhi later this week.
