Weather update: Forecast of thunderstorm and rain in Delhi, UP and Haryana in next few hours

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms and rain in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in the next two hours. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rains in the next two hours in Karnal, Sonipat and Panipat of Haryana, besides Shamli, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Modinagar, Meerut and Delhi in Uttar Pradesh. During this time, thunderstorms will move at a speed of 20-40 kmph. 

According to the information, thunderstorms and dust were today thunderstorms during the next few hours (till 9:10 AM) at some places of Sant Ravidas Nagar, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Mahoba, Saharanpur and Shamli There is a possibility of thunderstorm. The information agency ANI was quoted by quoting Lucknow-based Meteorological Center.

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also produced thunderstorms and dust for Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Gautam Budhnagar, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Amroha, Bijnor, Aligarh, Mathura, Sambhal, Badaun, Hathras, Moradabad, Kanpur district and adjoining areas. A full thunderstorm is expected.

Meteorological Department Estimates for Delhi

The Meteorological Department has forecast light rain in Delhi with very light rain or thunder. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 37 and 23 degrees Celsius respectively. With the possibility of another western disturbance affecting the weather in the first week of June in northwest India, heatwave is unlikely to return to Delhi-NCR before June 8.

Monsoon knocked in Kerala on schedule

On Monday, the monsoon knocked in Kerala on schedule. According to the Director General of the India Meteorological Department, Dr Mritunjay Mahapatra, the current season of monsoon will receive more rain than normal across the country. According to him, on June 1, the monsoon has become fully active in Kerala. It will move towards the other part of the country at its own pace. The distribution of monsoon rains active between June and September is going to be very good this time. The rainfall is expected to be 102 percent between June and September.
