The minimum temperature was recorded at a normal level of 27.1 degrees Celsius. The humidity level was 72 to 98 percent. As of 5:30 pm, rain was recorded at Safdarjung 0.8 mm, Palam 3.2 mm and Ridge 6.0 mm.
Two days ago on Monday afternoon, the rain gave some relief from the heat and humidity, but due to this, the problem of jam on many routes has deepened in the evening. However, complaints of waterlogging were less than in the previous rains. Late evening Connaught Place, ITO, Dhaula Kuan, Vikas Marg, Kondli, Daryaganj, Ashram, Mathura Road, Dwarka, Uttam Nagar, Kashmiri Gate, Karolbagh, There was a problem of jamming in other places including Najafgarh. According to the Delhi Traffic Police, water logging on Rohtak Road and Rajdhani Park was blocked for hours due to rain. Apart from this, there was a problem of bus failure on Palam flyover and traffic jam on Chawri market to Ajmeri gate road due to waterlogging. There was also a jam on the route from Kalkaji to Chirag Delhi due to bus failure due to overflow of sewer water from Dhaula Kuan to AIIMS and Savitri flyover. Similarly, traffic was disrupted due to the strike on the road from Ravta Turn to Jhuljhuli and dharna demonstration on Kondli Pulia.
Apart from this, there was a problem of jam in other areas of Delhi. According to the police, after water logging, traffic has stopped at many places. On the other hand, Amit Saini, who is going to Laxmi Nagar from Connaught Place, said that after the rain, the entire Connaught Place remained in the jam. It took half an hour to go from Kasturba Gandhi Marg to Ferozeshah Road, whereas on normal days it easily crosses in a minute or two. Shopkeepers and residents of Sadar Bazar, Naya Bazar, Matiamhal said that due to the slight rain, there is a problem of waterlogging. In the past too, there was a problem of waterlogging and again on Monday the waterlogging disturbed.
