Due to rain for 2 consecutive days, the weather in Delhi-NCR has become pleasant. In addition to the problems people are facing due to water logging, rain has reduced the minimum and maximum temperature. Not only this, August has been the coldest during the last 10 years. At the same time, Kuldeep Srivastava, Head of Regional Meteorological Center Delhi (Head of Regional Meteorological Center, Delhi) told that it will be cloudy on Friday as well. Light rain is also expected. He told that now the monsoon line and wind direction will change, so the rain will remain light for the next several days. In such a situation, it is believed that during the next few days, there will be relief from the humidity and heat.

Earlier, the clouds which started raining on Thursday morning continued till noon. Due to this the weather remained pleasant throughout the day. This round of relief from rain and heat is likely to continue on Friday as well. Like Wednesday, Delhiites woke up to sleep on Thursday morning and it was raining outside. Starting around four in the morning, this round of strong rain lasted till midday.

According to the Meteorological Department, till 5:30 pm, there was 8.2 mm rainfall at Safdarjung, 7.8 mm at Lodhi Road, 3.5 mm at Ridge and 6.3 mm at Palam. Ayanagar recorded the highest rainfall of 10.1 mm. The maximum temperature was 29.0 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 24.1 degree Celsius. The humidity level ranged from 94 to 100 percent.

Earlier, intermittent rains for between 24-36 hours made Delhi-NCR bad. On Wednesday and Thursday, the situation was such that more than 200 roads were flooded and vehicles were submerged in the underpass.
