Weather Forecast: Heavy rain forecast for next two-three days in many parts of the country, will have to be alert

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in the next two-three days in many parts of the country. The meteorological department gave this information on Thursday. The department said that there is a low pressure area along the north Odisha and Bengal coasts in the northwest Bay of Bengal. The southeast winds are expected to continue for the next two days with the monsoon trend and moisture from the Arabian Sea causing heavy rains in many parts of the country. 

Very heavy rainfall forecast in next 24 hours

The department said that heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan in North India. In the western parts of the country, Gujarat, Goa, Konkan, central Maharashtra ghat areas and central parts of India are also expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall during the next four-five days.

The department said, “Very heavy rainfall is expected in Gujarat during the next two days and in the ghat areas of central Maharashtra in the next 24 hours.” Fishermen in Gujarat have been instructed not to go to sea. The department said that Odisha, coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are also expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall during the next two-three days.

Giving information, Skymet said, “The axis of monsoon trough is extending through Ganganagar, Hisar, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Gaya, Jamshedpur and Digha to the northeastern parts of the Bay of Bengal. At the same time, a cyclonic circulation is over North East Rajasthan. Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation persists over Southwest Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat. Another seasonal system is over eastern Assam. Its potential is also cyclonic.

58 percent monsoon rains in Gujarat

State Bureau, Ahmedabad. In Gujarat, life has been disturbed in some districts of South Gujarat and Saurashtra due to continuous rains for the past few days. In the last few days, 230 tehsils of the state have received continuous rains and it has been 58 percent monsoon. Heavy loss is reported due to cloudburst in Lakhtar of Surendra Nagar. It has received seven and a half inches of rain in the last 24 hours. Surat recorded 13 inches of rainfall in the last 48 hours. An underbridge in an underbridge at Gondal in Rajkot caught a passenger-laden bus and ambulance. Many villages in Navsari in south Gujarat have lost contact. The government has deployed 13 NDRF teams in Surendra Nagar, Jamnagar, Banaskantha, Morbi, Navsari, Rajkot etc. to deal with the flood situation.
