Weather Alert: Heavy rains likely in next three days in many states, Meteorological Department issued the alert
People in the country have already lost their functioning due to the expansion of the coronavirus. Now, due to heavy rains and landslides happening in many places in the country, people are also suffering. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, heavy rains are likely to occur over the next three days i.e. 25 to 27 August, including Delhi NCR, Haryana, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Orissa. Heavy rains are likely to occur at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh on 26 and 27 August in the northern part of the country.
Severe rains may occur in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of widespread rains with hailstorm falling over Jammu and Kashmir, Baltistan, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. There is a danger of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand during 25 August-27 August. Light rain may occur in the interior parts of Tamil Nadu from 24 to 26 August. No more than light rain is expected in Kerala during this whole week. Rain is likely to occur at some places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on August 25 and 26. The Gangetic region may receive very heavy rainfall in West Bengal and Jharkhand during August 25-27. Rainfall activities are very high due to low level Easter from Bay of Bengal and south-westerlies from Arabian Sea. It was said that heavy rains are likely in South 24 Parganas, East and West Midnapore, Jhargram, Purulia and Bankura districts, which will intensify from Tuesday.
Heavy rain may occur here
Moderate to heavy rains may also occur over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Nagaland and Meghalaya early in the week. A new low pressure area has developed over the Bay of Bengal. The system will pass through West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar, leading to moderate to heavy rainfall in all these areas till 28 August.
This will be the condition of Delhi
Intermittent light to moderate rains will continue in Delhi from August 26 to the end of the week. Rainfall activities can be highest on 27 and 28 August. According to IMD forecast, light rain is expected in Delhi-NCR as well as Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal, Nuh and Rewari in Haryana. According to the latest forecast, there are chances of rains in Dadri and Kosli along with South Delhi.
Forecast of Maharashtra and Gujarat
Gujarat is also expected to receive moderate to heavy monsoon rainfall on August 27-28. The weather will be weak in most parts of Maharashtra this week. On 27th and 28th, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places in Maharashtra.
There will be rain in Bihar
According to Patna meteorological center senior scientist Sanjay Kumar, the southwest monsoon has become active again in Bihar. The low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is slowly moving towards the plains. This may cause rain for the next one or two days.

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is active at this time and is south of its normal state. It is likely to remain active during the next 2-3 days.
