Water on Mars: Scientists claim, four billion years ago, there was plenty of water and deep sea on Mars, where did we get lost …

US space company NASA and scientists from all over the world are searching for water on Mars. Scientists are wondering if there was ever a source of water on Mars. Was there ever life on Mars? Now NASA has also sent one of its rovers to Mars. Its purpose is also to collect the same information. In such a case, a NASA-funded study has presented a shocking report on Mars. Let us know what is shocking in this report.

Most ‘missing’ water buried beneath the surface of Mars

According to a study funded by NASA, most of its ‘missing’ water is buried beneath the surface of Mars. This study contradicts the current claim that the red planet’s water has gone into space. Evidence found on the surface of Mars also shows that billions of years ago there was not only water on this planet, but there were deep lakes and seas here. A new study published in the journal Science shows that a significant portion of the water on Mars (30 to 99 percent) is trapped within the minerals in the planet’s crust.

Four billion years ago, there was deep sea and plenty of water on Mars.

According to researchers at the California Institute of Technology and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), nearly four billion years ago, Mars not only had plenty of water, but also contained 100 to 1500 meters of deep sea. However, after one billion years the planet became as dry as it is today. Before this study came out, scientists had said that due to low gravity of Mars, most of its water has gone into space. According to the researchers, some water must have gone into space due to low gravity, but under this process most of the water does not seem to go right into space. The study’s lead author, Eva Schaller, said that the disappearance of water from the atmosphere does not confirm how much water was actually on the planet.
