Team India captain Virat Kohli has described a player of the Indian Test team as the biggest discovery of the West Indies tour. This player is none other than the middle-order batsman Hanuma Vihari. Kohli praised Hanuma Vihari and said that when he bats, there is a relaxed atmosphere in the dressing room.

Regarding Vihari, who scored 111 in the first innings and 53 not out in the second innings, Kohli said, “He looks full of confidence and looks patient in dressing form when he is batting.” He is always ready to improve his game and mistakes.

After a 257-run win in the second and final cricket Test against the West Indies, Kohli admitted that the Indian team was under pressure in a few seasons but managed to register an easy win by playing good cricket. Chasing India’s target of 468, the West Indies team collapsed on 210 runs.

After a 2–0 clean sweep in the series, Kohli said, ‘Easy victory once again. We played good cricket and achieved the kind of results that are important as a team. In some sessions, we were under pressure. While batting, we were in a difficult situation but the boys performed brilliantly.

Kohli said, ‘Hanuma Vihari batted brilliantly, Ajinkya Rahane played well in the second innings, Mayank Agarwal played well in the first innings, Ishant Sharma’s half-century was a full inning. Looking at the surface, Hanuma Vihari’s innings was world-class.

On becoming India’s most successful Test captain, Kohli said, ‘Being the most successful Test captain is because of our team. Our bowlers are fantastic. Shami is excellent, Ishant bowls with passion, Jadeja is throwing long spells. The captain is just the letter ‘C’ in front of your name. This is a collective effort.

Kohli also praised the West Indies bowlers. He said, ‘West Indies team will understand which departments they need to improve. From the bowling point of view, the West Indies is fantastic. Kemar Roach and Jason Holder were his great bowlers. If they are able to score enough runs, then there will be a very dangerous opponent in Test cricket.
