The US has agreed to provide the raw material for vaccines amidst the worsening situation of Corona in India. The special thing is that the US has stopped the supply of raw material for the vaccine being made in India at a time when the corona epidemic in the country is taking shape. This move of the US administration had raised the concerns of the vaccine-making Indian companies and the Government of India.
The Government of India and the vaccine companies breathed a sigh of relief from this decision of the US. Serum company appealed to the central government
Serum Institute of India, which produces Novavax and AstraZeneca in India, recently expressed concern over the shortage of raw materials. Adar Poonawala, head of the Serum Institute, feared a shortage of plastic bags and filters used in vaccine manufacturing due to US export restrictions. The company had said that it was facing difficulty in importing cell culture media, single-use tubing, and special chemicals. This will directly affect vaccine production. The Serum Company wrote a letter to the Central Government requesting it to intervene in the matter so that vaccines could be produced without any interruption. Explain that India is one of the largest producing countries of Corona Vaccine, but now India is facing problems in vaccine supply as per demand.
