Uttar Pradesh state government has given permission to all educational institutions – schools and colleges in the state to conduct online classes from 20 May 2021. However, the instructions given by the state government will not be applicable to the Basic Education Department. Earlier, the state government had banned all educational institutions in the state till 15 May 2021 to hold online classes in view of increasing cases of Kovid-19 activations.

Ban on online classes lifted to continue teaching

In the uncontrolled state of Kovid-19, the most reason behind allowing the educational institutions of the state to conduct online classes is the need to maintain the continuity of teaching for students. Since the banning of online classes in state institutions, many students have been demanding the release of it on social media citing inconvenience in continuing to study without online classes. Keeping in mind the demands of the students, the state government has given permission to all educational institutions to conduct online classes.

10th and 12th board examinations postponed for one month

On the other hand, the state government has earlier postponed the UP board 10th, 12th examinations for almost a month due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. It was announced to postpone the examinations of UP Board till 20 May 2021 and then till further orders of the State Government. However, given the current state of the Covid-19 epidemic in the state, the dates of examinations are not likely to be announced at present. According to Saturday’s report in the state, during the last 24 hours, 12,547 new cases were reported and there were 281 deaths. However, the state government has extended the lockdown till 24 May 2021 as a protective measure.
