Turkish fighters have bombed parts of northern Syria.
Turkish President Ardogan said that his army is preparing a ‘safe-zone’ targeting Kurdish fighters.
The Kurds-led Syrian Democratic Force says at least two civilians have been killed in this attack.
This attack by Turkey may increase the quarrel with the Kurdish-led US alliance.
The coalition has said that a retaliatory response to any action across the border will be given.
The Kurdish organization of Syria has asked the coalition against the United States and the Islamic State to create a no-fly zone in the region to prevent “attacks on innocent people”.
Kurdish fighters have been key US allies in defeating the Islamic State in Syria.
The Kurdish fighters supervise thousands of Islamic State fighters and their relatives in jails built in their control areas.
It is not clear yet whether they can be safely kept in jails or not.
The Turkish army is not present at the border. The attack comes just days after President Donald Trump’s controversial decision to withdraw US troops from northern Syria.
Before this decision, Turkish President Ardean called Trump. But this decision is getting severe criticism in the USA and outside.
Ardean said on Twitter, “This campaign has been started to prevent the construction of extremist corridors on our southern border and to establish peace in this area.”
He has also said, “It will maintain the territorial sovereignty of Syria and liberate the local population from extremists.”
However, on how large an air raid has been done, it is not clear and there is no information whether the Turkish army has tried to enter Syria or not.
But some locals said that the tanks have reached their village.
Turkey wants to remove Kurdish fighters and create a safe zone there. Turkey considers Kurdish fighters as extremists.
Currently, there are about 3.6 million Syrian refugees living in Turkey.
There are reports that people have started migrating from Ras Al Ain and Tal Abiad towns, where many airstrikes were carried out.
According to the SDF, two civilians have been killed in these attacks and two other people have been injured in Mishraf village in the western part of Ras Al Ain.
Many countries have expressed concern over this attack. Britain and France are planning to call an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on this matter. While the President of the European Union has asked to stop the military operation.
Meanwhile, Trump’s close US Senator Lindsay Graham has said that he will ensure in Congress that Ardeon has to pay a heavy price.
He said that the Trump administration has shamelessly left its Kurdish allies alone.
Trump has said in a statement that suspected Islamic State fighters remain in prison and Turkey will be responsible for not re-organizing Islamic State
Kurdish organizations have lost 11,000 of their fighters in the fight against the Islamic State.
