Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Guwahati has questioned the IIT professor for the second time in connection with the protests against the CAA. Case filed against 50 including Urvashi
According to information received from Mumbai, anti-national slogans were raised in support of Sharjeel Imam arrested on February 1 at the LGBTQ program at Azad Maidan for his anti-national statement. Mumbai Police DCP Prannoy Ashok said that a case has been registered on 50 including Urvashi. At the rally, Chudawala was at the forefront of the slogan ‘Sharajeel Tere Sapne Hoon Hum Nahin Deejon His video is going viral. Former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya had lodged a complaint in this regard on February 2 and threatened to picket for not filing a case.
Jyoti Saikia questioned for the second time
On the other hand, according to the news from Guwahati, the NIA team has questioned history professor Arup Jyoti Saikia at IIT-Guwahati on Monday for the second time in connection with the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in December last year. The NIA has also summoned Saikia for questioning on Tuesday. There was heavy violence during the protest, in which senior leader of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti Akhil Gogoi has been arrested. The NIA has questioned Saikia as a witness in the Gogoi case.
At the same time, slogans were shot at the rally in support of CAA on Sunday evening by the Akhand Bharat Sangharsh Samiti in Hyderabad. Similar slogans were raised during a rally in Delhi, after which the Election Commission has stopped BJP leader and Union Minister Anurag Thakur from campaigning.
