Read Time:1 Minute, 36 Second

The Tamil Nadu government has banned online gaming related to betting. The government has taken this step after people lost money and committed suicide in a betting game. At the same time, the government believes that banning such games will have a good impact on the society.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palaniswami recently said that the government is taking steps to ban it after suicides and numerous complaints of people who lost money in a betting game in the state. Only after this, Governor Banwarilal Purohit issued the ordinance on Friday.

According to the Tamil Nadu government, if a person is found guilty of betting related online gaming, he will be fined Rs 5,000 and may also have to go to jail for six months. Apart from this, a person who conducts betting games will also be fined Rs 10,000.
