Tamil Nadu government imposes ban on online gaming related to betting
The Tamil Nadu government has banned online gaming related to betting. The government has taken this step after people lost money and committed suicide in a betting game. At the same time, the government believes that banning such games will have a good impact on the society.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palaniswami recently said that the government is taking steps to ban it after suicides and numerous complaints of people who lost money in a betting game in the state. Only after this, Governor Banwarilal Purohit issued the ordinance on Friday.
According to the Tamil Nadu government, if a person is found guilty of betting related online gaming, he will be fined Rs 5,000 and may also have to go to jail for six months. Apart from this, a person who conducts betting games will also be fined Rs 10,000.
Explain that the Andhra Pradesh government had banned online gaming, betting and gambling in the last month i.e. October. Also wrote a letter to the Center demanding to block 132 websites in the state. These include websites such as Paytm First, Rummy and EA.com. At the same time, the government believes that these online websites and gaming apps are affecting the society.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has written a letter to Communications, Electronics and Information Technology and Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, demanding a ban on 132 online gaming websites. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has expressed concern over online betting in this letter.
The name of these websites is included in the list of ban
The websites which have been sought to be blocked include the names of Mobile Premier League, Adda52, Rummy, Paytm First, FIFA and NHL. Apart from this, the name of the world gaming gaming company EA.com is also included in the list of Bain. However, Dream11’s name has not been added to this list.
