Delhi / NCR is being hit by the air pollution. According to a study, serious diseases like TB reduce the life of common people by 3.5 months while air pollution reduces the life span of 1.8 years. This is the reason that people living in the National Capital Region want to leave Delhi NCR and settle in other cities. A new survey has found that 40 percent of the people living in Delhi NCR due to air pollution want to build their homes in other cities.
According to the results of the survey, there are 16 percent of the people living in NCR who want to travel to other areas of the country when pollution increases. At the same time, 13 percent said that they have no option to deal with rising levels of pollution. However, 31 percent people say that they will stay in Delhi NCR and use air purifiers, masks to avoid pollution. The survey covered 17,000 people.
According to the survey conducted by Local Circles, 44 percent of the people living in Delhi NCR said that they had to face various health problems due to pollution, however, the hospital did not have to go round the clock. People were asked how air pollution is affecting them and their families. 13 percent of the people said that due to problems arising from pollution, many of them had to go to the hospital. 29 percent said that many of them are already going to the doctors due to this problem.
Only 14 per cent of the residents of Delhi were in the survey who said that their health has not been adversely affected by pollution. Let us know that due to air pollution in Delhi NCR, the Environmental Pollution Prevention and Control Authority (EPCA) declared Health Emergency on Friday. The EPCA states that this pollution situation is a mixed result of local factors, firecrackers burnt on Diwali night, straw smoke and seasonal conditions. According to reports, the share of smoke in Delhi pollution from stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana has reached 46 percent.
