Sunil Gavaskar’s advice to Team India on defeat to Bangladesh – don’t forget, learn

Read Time:2 Minute, 30 Second

Sunil Gavaskar said that the Indian team should not forget the first T20 match. The team should learn from this match. I think there were more dot balls in the first match.

The first T20 played between India and Bangladesh in New Delhi was in constant danger due to air pollution. However, the match happened without any trouble. Today, both teams will play the second T20 match in Rajkot, but this match is also having bad weather intentions. The storm named Maha was moving away from the west coast of India, but it has turned and now it is moving towards the Gujarat coast. Little Master Sunil Gavaskar has said many big things about this match.

Sunil Gavaskar told ‘Aaj Tak’ that the Indian team should not forget the first T20 match. The team should learn from this match. I think there was more dot ball in the first match. This needs attention. While batting first, the dot ball was played more by the Indian team. According to me, there were 55 balls in 120 balls, which is not right. I saw that in the first match, the opening batsmen were not able to do anything special in 6 overs. The situation was the same with the bowlers. We need to focus on the initial 6 overs. Also, wickets will have to be removed in the initial overs.

Rhythm is maintained by playing domestic cricket

On Shikhar Dhawan and Dhoni playing domestic cricket, Gavaskar said that it is necessary to play domestic cricket. This keeps the rhythm. Test matches were being held before this tournament. Domestic cricket was not happening much. If Dhawan does not play in the next match, then questions will arise. Rhythm is not possible because of not playing domestic cricket. If Shikhar Dhawan or anyone makes 45 runs from 25 balls, then it will run, but questions will be raised if 45 runs in 40 balls in T20.

Sanju Samson may get a chance regarding the T20 World Cup, Gavaskar said that the Indians are in 5th position if they see the ICC ranking, which is correct. If you have to go to 2 or 3 in the ranking then a big win will have to be recorded. For T20 World Cup, Team India will have to improve its rankings and register a big win. At the same time, on getting an opportunity for Sanju Samson, Gavaskar said that he might get a chance on the West Indies tour. If Pant could not do anything in the next two matches or if Shikhar flopped, then Sanju Samson could get a place in the team as a wicketkeeper.
