In this disease, the blood circulation of the patient worsens, causing swelling in the body. This disease is so dangerous that it affects the vital organs of the body. This causes blood clots to form. The patient’s blood pressure begins to fall to dangerous levels. In this, the organs of the body do not get enough oxygen and nutrients. According to the doctors, if the symptoms of this disease are identified and treated soon, then the serious condition can be avoided. Due to this disease, the organs are severely affected. Organs may stop functioning. The stage where the organs stop functioning is called septic shock, which can lead to the death of the patient.

Causes of septic shock:

Septic shock is the condition of the disease when the infection begins to spread in the cells of the body, and when the chemical or medicines that fight it flow through the blood, it starts to damage the other parts of the body fighting the infection.

What are the symptoms of septic shock?

According to the NHS, symptoms of septic shock include

  • Low blood pressure, which makes you feel dizzy on standing
  • Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
  • Colds, colds and dry skin
  • A change in mental state, such as confusion or disorientation
  • Septic shock is a medical emergency and if you believe that you or someone in your family has septic shock, you should seek the help of a doctor immediately.

At what age do people catch this disease

Septic shock is most common in the elderly and children under one year of age. Pregnant women also have a higher risk of septic shock in women with many serious conditions such as diabetes, kidney or lung disease, cancer, and a weakened immune system.

How is septic shock treated?

  • A patient with this disease is usually admitted to the ICU so that they can be treated seriously.
  • Treatment options for septic shock include:
  • Antibiotics
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Medicine to increase blood flow
  • Vasopressor drugs – drugs that constrict blood vessels and help to increase blood pressure.
  • Surgery (in some cases)
  • Contains fluids delivered directly through the veins.
