Sachin’s disappointment with New Zealand’s defeat in World Cup final
In the World Cup final match played between England and New Zealand, the winner’s decision was decided on the basis of which team has made more boundaries.
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has said that the second super over should have been done to decide the winner’s team in the World Cup final and not the winner’s decision should have been done on the matter of who raised more boundaries. The last match played between England and New Zealand was strained on Sunday and after that Super Over was done, but the match was also tied here and the winner’s decision was made on the basis of which team has made more boundaries.
Tendulkar said, “I think the winner’s decision should have been done by one more Super Over, instead of the two teams, who have set more boundaries. Not just the World Cup finals, every match is important, as, in football, when the match goes in extra time, nothing matters.
Prior to Tendulkar, the Indian team’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma also criticized the rule of winning on the basis of boundaries. However, after losing in the semi-finals, Indian team captain Virat Kohli had said that knockout on the lines of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the World Cup could be a great option as it lost the top two teams. After that get another chance.
Tendulkar has spoken about Kohli and has said that those teams who have finished the league tour in the top-2 should definitely get the chance.
Sachin said, “I think teams that end the league phase while staying in the top two should get the benefit of consistently performing in the tournament.” Tendulkar has repeatedly talked of coming up in the batting order in the semi-final match of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
The former captain said, ‘I would send Dhoni to his regular place number-5. With the kind of experience India has in them and the experience they have, it takes time to make them an innings. Hardik Pandya could bat at number-6 and Dinesh Karthik number -7.
