Russia sets observatory in space to detect galaxies and black holes

The news agency Xinhua told the statement that spacecraft was launched in Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. This is the second launch of this type of launch vehicle in the year 2019.

The statement said that the orbital observatory equipped with two special X-ray mirror binoculars has started its 100-day flight to detect the universe in X-ray electromagnetic radiation.

According to Roscosmos, Spector-RG is a Russian project in which Germany has collaborated. Its main goal is to create a map of the whole sky by detecting almost one million large groups of galaxies and 30 million large black holes.
