On Friday, the second day of the ongoing practice match between South Africa and the Indian Board President’s XI in Vizianagaram, the game had to be stopped ahead of schedule due to poor light. Only 50 overs could be played on the second day and till stumps South Africa scored 199 runs for the loss of four wickets.

For the visiting team, captain Edin Markram scored 100 runs in 118 balls with the help of 18 fours and two sixes. He retired. Temba Bavuma is playing for 55 runs.

Umesh Yadav gave the first blow to South Africa by dismissing Dean Elgar (6) on a total score of 23. After 10 runs, Ishaan Porel gave the second blow to the hosts by dismissing Theunis de Bruyn (6).

Zubair Hamza was trying to gain a foothold on the wicket. He had added 22 runs to his account. On the total score of 78, Dharmendhesh Jadeja got the ball on his pad and the umpire raised his finger. From here, Markram and Bavuma took over the team and strengthened the team. Meanwhile, Markram retired after hitting a century.

South Africa suffered a fourth setback as Faf du Plessis (9). The day’s play was terminated ahead of time due to bad light from here. Jadeja took two wickets from the Indian Board President’s XI, Umesh and Ishaan got one wicket each.
