There is a lockdown in the country to prevent the spread of corona virus. Many people have also been affected due to this. Despite the efforts of the government, people are not getting food and drink. In such a situation, an NGO has come up with ‘Free Ration App’ to provide free ration to the needy across the country.

Khalid Syedullah, director and founder of the Free Ration App, told ANI that we have named it the ‘Ration App’, which will help those affected by the lockdown and meet their ration needs. People can download this app from playstore and request us for a ration pack.

Saifullah and his team have so far received 13,000 applications through the app, which have been sent by needy people from various states. Saifullah said that once people fill in the form in the app, their residence address is asked, after which a group of NGOs checks to see if the request is correct. If the request is correct, we contact the nearest grocery dealer in that area and deposit Rs 600 in his account and inform the needy person to collect the necessary items from the store.

He has so far helped more than 1,500 people through grocery merchants. They have a database of over 20 thousand merchants through Google programming, which helps in providing ration kits to the needy.
