Islamabad, ANI Pakistan has lifted the ban from its airspace since the Balakot Air Strike. On Tuesday, the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan ordered immediate opening of its airspace for all citizen traffic of India with immediate effect. After which the movement of Indian aircraft will start in Pakistan’s air space.

After the 26/11 air raids by the Indian Air Force on the terrorist camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Balakot, Pakistan had completely shut down its airspace on the eastern border with India. Recently, Pakistan had said that India would not open its air space for commercial flights until India fired its fighters from Air Force airbase.

In fact, in response to the attack by the terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir on February 14th, India attacked terrorist bases. 40 CRPF personnel were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack.

In March, Pakistan had partially opened its airspace, but Indian aircraft were not allowed to fly in its airspace. After the Pakistan ban, all passenger flights were diverted to alternative routes of India. Because of this, the cost of fuel was increased on the airlines. The biggest impact of the closure of the air space was on flights from Europe to Southeast Asia.

Let us say that last month Pakistan gave special permission to PM Narendra Modi to use his airspace for official visit of Kyrgyzstan capital Bishkek. However, Prime Minister Modi decided not to use Pakistan’s airspace and go by the other way.
