Pakistan lifts ban on Tiktok, warns of pornographic and immoral videos

Read Time:30 Second

Pakistan’s Telecom Authority (PTA) on Monday lifted the ban on China’s popular video sharing app Ticketock. Earlier, the company assured the authorities that it would close all accounts which are involved in spreading pornography and immorality. The PTA banned TikTok on October 9 after several complaints related to unethical content. The PTA alleges that Ticketock has failed to ban indecent and immoral content despite being told several times. Let us know that Tiktok is very popular in Pakistan and it has been installed 43 million times. So far, it has been installed 1.47 crore times only in 2020.
