Mohammad Hafeez, an all-rounder from Pakistan and England’s County Middlesex, has been banned from bowling in domestic tournaments of English cricket. This decision was taken after getting their bowling action wrong.

In the middle of the season, Hafiz’s suspected bowling action in Middlesex in place of AB de Villiers was reported in the match played between Somerset and Middlesex at Taunton in the T20 Blast on 30 August.

After this, the independent committee investigated it, after which this decision was taken. The investigation revealed that the elbow of the 39-year-old off-spin bowler turns more than 15 degrees.

Hafeez said in a statement, ‘I received ECB bowling review group report on my bowling action. I approve of that report.

Hafeez said, “As per the ECB rules, I am ready for independent investigation at the ICC recognized center so that I may be eligible to play in the ECB’s event.” This is not the first time that Hafeez’s action has been found suspicious. The first thing happened in 2005.
