The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has now issued guidelines to set a maximum service time of 10 seconds per vehicle at peak hours on toll plazas on national highways. Not only this, now no more than 100 meters long line of vehicles will be allowed on the toll plaza. The special thing is that if the line of vehicles exceeds 100 meters, then vehicles will be allowed to pay the toll without paying. The purpose of taking this step is to keep the traffic running smoothly without being interrupted.

The statement from NHAI stated that since fasting is mandatory in all vehicles, there is a relief from the long jam on toll plazas, which reduces the waiting time. However, if for some reason the line of vehicles at the toll plaza exceeds 100 meters, then vehicles coming in the 100-meter range from the toll booth will be allowed to leave from there without paying the toll. Since the issuance of new guidelines, now vehicles passing through the toll plaza will not have to stay for long, and will not have to pay a toll if it is late.
