It is known that 40 CRPF personnel were killed in the attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama on 14 February 2019 last year. The attacker Adil Ahmed Dar died on the spot to carry out this attack. Mudassir Ahmad Khan, who played the lead role in the plot of the attack, was killed in an encounter on March 10 last year, 25 days later. Later, on the night of 26 February, the Indian Air Force retaliated by destroying the militant bases in Balakot, Pakistan.
