More than 3,000 bank employees corona infected in Odisha, 14 killed in a day

The incidence of corona infection in Odisha is increasing steadily. Cases of corona infection are also increasing among the bank employees also due to the banks being opened in times of corona crisis. 3,066 bank employees have been found corona infected in the state, out of which 14 infected died on 30 September.

According to a letter by State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) convenor Arupananda Jena, the State Bank of India has found the highest number of 968 cases of corona and death of an infected employee. Talking about private banks, the maximum 390 employees in Axis Bank were found infected. There is no notice of the death of an employee in private banks yet. Talking about Odisha Rustic Bank, a total of 3 Corona-infected employees have died here so far. 

Significantly, 3326 new patients of corona infection were confirmed in Odisha on Sunday and 15 infected deaths were recorded. According to the Health Department, the total number of infected patients in the state has increased to 2,32,713. So far a total of 907 people have died due to this infection in the state. On Sunday, three patients were reported from Khurda and Cuttack districts of the state and two patients died from corona in Kendrapara district.
