On Wednesday, the first day of the fourth Test match of the Ashes series being played in Manchester between Australia and England, the rain caused a lot of trouble, due to which only the game of 44 overs as possible. Australia ended the day with 170 runs losing three wickets.

Both of them shared 116 runs for the third wicket. Craig Overton broke the partnership by dismissing Labushen. He faced 128 balls and hit 10 fours in his innings. Smith played 93 balls and hit seven fours until the announcement of the tea season. In the middle of tea time, the rain once again interfered and the umpires announced to end the day’s play.
