Mohit Suri’s Malang is slowly and steadily inching towards Rs 50-crore mark. Starring Disha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, and Kunal Kemmu, the film is a suspense-thriller.
Malang had earned Rs 44.42 crore till Saturday. On Sunday, it is expected to earn Rs 2 crore.
The film opened with Rs 6.71 crore on February 7 and went on to make Rs 8.89 crore and Rs 9.76 crore on its first Saturday and Sunday of release. While the initial three days saw an upward trend in the collection, Day 4 witnessed a slump as Malang could earn just Rs 4.04 crore.
The release of Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan’s Love Aaj Kal on Valentine’s Day negatively affected the collection of Malang. The Disha Patani and Aditya Roy Kapur-starrer are not expected to better its performance at the box office int he coming days.
Going by the collection of the film in the last few days, Malang is expected to struggle to reach Rs 50-crore mark this week.
