Moradabad, JNN. The devotees going to bathe in Haridwar Mahakumbh on Mahashivaratri will have to be disappointed. The Railways has announced not to run special trains on March 11 on the holy festival of Mahashivaratri with regard to Haridwar Mahakumbh Mela. However, regular trains running from the east will continue to operate.

The most prominent bath in Mahakumbh going on in Haridwar is on Mahashivratri. During this time a large number of devotees are expected to arrive. Due to Corona, the Uttarakhand government and the Kumbh Mela administration are taking special precautions. With the start of Kumbh Mela, regular trains have started operating. Earlier, special trains have been operated for Shahi Snan. However, this time special trains are not being operated for the purpose of rescue from Corona. Senior DCM Rekha Sharma said that as many trains were running regularly as before the Corona era, more trains would be run. All the pilgrims are requested to travel only with confirmed reserved tickets. Entry to the railway area without a confirmed reserved ticket will not be allowed.
