Maharashtra Politics: Screw On Jayant Patil's Election, Sharad Pawar May Get A Shock

New Delhi, NAI. Amid the ongoing political upheaval in Maharashtra, the matter now seems to be stuck between Ajit Pawar and Jayant Patil. While NCP Ajit Pawar has been replaced by Jayant Patil as the new Legislature Party leader, BJP is still considering Ajit Pawar as the leader of NCP Legislature Party.

Meanwhile, the statement of Maharashtra Assembly Secretary Rajendra Bhagwat has come out. Bhagwat said that the Legislature Secretariat has received a letter claiming that Jayant Patil is the leader of the NCP Legislature Party. But, now the Speaker has to take a decision on this. The speaker has not been elected yet.

At the same time, BJP MLA Ashish Shelar has objected to Jayant Patil being made the leader of NCP Legislature Party. The BJP has accepted the appointment of Ajit Pawar as valid. BJP MLA Ashish Shelar said that the Bharatiya Janata Party believes that Ajit Pawar’s appointment as the leader of NCP Legislature Party is valid, while the appointment of Jayant Patil in his place is invalid. NCP supremo Sharad Pawar has removed his nephew Ajit Pawar as the leader of the party’s Legislative Party. With this, Jayant Patil has been elected as the leader of the party’s Legislative Party.

Ajit Pawar was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister along with Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday morning. It is clear that even though Ajit Pawar may have tried to get Sharad Pawar lost, he seems to have an edge in the party.

Please tell that with CM Devendra Fadnavis, NCP met on Saturday evening to take oath of deputation of Ajit Pawar CM, in which 50 MLAs were present. Ajit Pawar submitted a list of support of NCP MLAs to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.
