Maharashtra: Decision on lockdown after April 14
In view of the ever-increasing cases of Corona, a decision will be taken after imposing a lockdown in Maharashtra after 14 April.
After an important meeting of the Kovid-19 task force held on Sunday to discuss the state of the epidemic, the state health minister Rajesh Tope said that any decision regarding the lockdown will be taken after April 14.
According to news agency PTI, he said, “The task force’s advice is that lockdown should be imposed in view of the current situation.” If the lockdown will be imposed, how long will it be, what will be its impact on the economy of the state and it has been discussed in the meeting. ”
He said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is talking to different business organizations to discuss whether to impose the lockdown or not and its possible impact, only after which a decision can be taken on it.
Night curfew has already been imposed in the state in view of increasing cases of the corona.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also participated in the task force meeting. During this time, the availability of beds and oxygen in the hospitals of the state and the availability and use of ramdesvir were discussed. The discussion was also held at the meeting to impose lockdown in the state.
According to the Union Health Ministry, as per the data received till 8 am on April 11, 1,52,879 new cases of Corona infection have been registered in the country and 839 people have died due to Kovid-19.
Together, the number of active corona cases in India has increased to more than 11 lakhs, while the total number of people who have died from this infection has increased to 1,69,275.
According to the Health Ministry, 70.82 percent of the active cases are in only four states. These states are Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala.
The epidemic situation in Maharashtra is deteriorating rapidly. Of the total active cases of the country, 48.57 per cent are in Maharashtra only.

As per the data released on April 11, 63,294 new cases of infection have been registered in the state.
At the same time, in the country, 839 people died in the country from Corona in one day. Of these, 309 people have died in Maharashtra alone.
After this, the highest number of deaths occurred in Chhattisgarh where 123 people died in one day.
