Locust attack: grasshopper team reached close to Delhi, high alert in many states

Attacking teams of locust contingents from the border states have reached the border of the National Capital Region. After Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, now high alert has been issued for the attack of locust parties in the districts of Bundelkhand of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh. The outbreak of grasshopper parties is increasing continuously. Their attack has intensified due to the outbreak of heat in the weather. India is confident of helping Iran and Afghanistan to eradicate locusts, with the campaign being carried out to control the outbreak of locust parties. But for this, Pakistan did not participate in the meeting of the affected regional countries.

Moving beyond the border states, along with Bundelkhand, reached Mathura and Bulandshahr.

Locust attacks have intensified in the border states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Rajasthan and Punjab. But his attack has increased further as the temperature rises. His team started arriving in the districts of Bundelkhand in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh via Central India only last week.

According to the data of the Ministry of Agriculture, the convoy of locusts has now started reaching Auraiya, Etawah, Etah, Farrukhabad, Firozabad, Agra, Mathura, Bulandshahr. The state administration has put high alert in 10 districts. The locust contingent is moving towards the capital Delhi via Rajasthan and Haryana. However, the state administration along with the central government is ready to destroy them completely.

On the grasshopper issue, India had asked Pakistan to organize a joint meeting. Actually, a swarm of locusts coming from Iran invades the Indian borders via Pakistan. Due to this, the farming and horticulture of the three countries suffer a great loss. Most countries in Africa are fed up of locust parties. Thousands of people struggle with starvation problems every year due to the destruction of agriculture.

Is ready to work closely with Iran on India’s proposal. But no fragrance has been received from Pakistan so far. While India is willing to bear the entire amount of pesticides used in it. India has also proposed to send pesticides to Iran, so that locusts are killed at the site of their birth.
