Lockdown in Delhi: Corona raises concerns, lockdown may occur in Delhi’s crowded markets
In the coming days , one can see the lockdown in the major markets of Delhi. During this time people will get markets and markets closed. In fact, it is proposed that if the corona virus infection cases in Delhi increase rapidly, then the major markets of the capital can be closed. In this regard, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi has sent a proposal to the central government. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal told in a digital press conference on Tuesday that if the corona virus infection cases are not curbed, then the major markets of Delhi can be closed for some time.
There will be a lockdown in crowded markets
Arvind Kejriwal said that the proposal sent to the central government said that the markets where there is more congestion. Along with this, physical distance is also not being followed. Delhi government wants to lockdown in such markets for a few days. The Delhi Government has sent a proposal to the Central Government that if a lockdown is to be imposed in any market, it should be allowed to the Delhi Government. Currently, no state government has the authority to impose lockdown.
These markets may come under lockdown – 1317 Containment zones increased in last 19 days
At the same time, the Union Home Ministry has once again directed to review the Containment Zone being constructed for the prevention of corona. The Ministry believes that the containment zone process is more effective for the prevention of corona. Earlier, on 21 June, the Ministry had talked about creating a Containment Zone at micro level. Since then, the Delhi government has increased the number of containment zones rapidly. Now again the way Corona patients are increasing in Delhi. The number of containment (hot spot) zones is also increasing in the same way. In the last 19 days, 1317 containment zones have increased in Delhi.
Talking about the figures, the number of containment zones was 3113 on October 28, it has now increased to 4430. That is, 1317 containment zones have increased in the last 19 days. On September 30, the number of containment zones was 2615. Accordingly, till October 28, only 432 containers had increased. But since October 28, there has been a sudden and rapid rise. For the coming days, experts have expressed the possibility of coming to 15,000 corona patients every day. Due to this, the government is worrying that more people are not affected by Corona, so the government has increased the emphasis on increasing the Containment Zone. Talking about the report released by the revenue department, a total of 9333 zones have been formed in Delhi so far. After June 21, 8999 zones have been formed. There have been a total of 4903 de-contended so far. There are currently 4430 containment zones. The number was 3878 on 9 November. That is, 552 containment zones have increased in the last eight days.
Containment zones are being built at micro level in Delhi. Containment zone is made by mixing one or two to three houses in it. So that more population is not affected. According to the report, the highest containment zones so far have been 1542 in South Western district and 382 in North Eastern district.
