LIVE Kisan Andolan: Farmers change strategy on Singhu border, remove barricades of cement and erect tractors

Read Time:1 Minute, 55 Second

The agitation of farmers on the Singhu border in protest( Kisan Andolan ) against agricultural laws entered the 21st day on Wednesday. Thousands of farmers are protesting at the Delhi-UP gate along the Singhu and Tikri borders of Haryana adjoining Delhi.

Meanwhile, the Singhu border farmers have now taken an aggressive stance and have removed several barricades of cement on the road from the police and erected several tractors at the same place.

Earlier, the farmers, who were staging a sit-in on the Singhu Border towards Delhi, not only made a platform on Monday, but also taunted it to avoid the cold and rain.

At the same time, farmers sitting on dharna on Tuesday warned to close the Chilla border connecting Delhi-Noida. Few days ago this border has been partially opened. Due to its closure, thousands of people going to Delhi-Noida were difficult. Farmer leaders said that first the central government should abrogate all the three laws, only then something will be done.

Talking to reporters, farmer leader Rishipal Ambavata said that instead of confusing, the government should clarify its position regarding cancellation of the law.

.At the same time, farmer Jagjit Singh said that there was a meeting of farmers’ organizations from Punjab and then from all over the country on Tuesday. It was decided in the meeting that their peaceful movement will continue.

On behalf of the farmers, it was told that so far 20 farmers have died in the movement. In his memory, a tribute meeting will be held on December 20 from 11 am to 1 pm across the country.

Farmer leaders, meanwhile, questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement in the FICCI auditorium,

saying that the Prime Minister told the corporate people in the meeting that the government has opened up the agricultural sector for them. Meaning, the government is now making agriculture a market for the corporate world.

With this, the Prime Minister is not telling how the welfare of the farmer is possible. Farmer leaders said that when laws are enacted without asking the farmer, similarly they should be withdrawn without asking.

Yudhbir Singh from Delhi, Lakhvir Singh from Punjab, Sandeep Gadde from Maharashtra, Inderjit Singh from Haryana, etc. attended the press conference.
