LIVE Cyclone Amphan Updates: Super Cyclone Amphon to be changed again in next 6 hours

New Delhi, Agencies. According to the latest bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the form of the super cyclone emphon that rose in the Bay of Bengal will change again during the next 6 hours. The department has informed that this storm is likely to weaken during the next 6 hours and will turn into an extremely severe cyclonic storm. 

According to the Meteorological Department, it has moved from west-central and east-central Bay of Bengal to north-north-east at 14 kilometers per hour in the last 6 hours and today at 5:30 am 520 kilometers south-central Bay of Bengal at Paradip I was focused 

Earlier India Meteorological Department (IMD) had informed that the cyclone is likely to cross the north-western Bay of Bengal and move towards the northeast. A cyclonic storm will reach the Amphn extremes near Sunderbans between Digha and Hatia Islands between West Bengal-Bangladesh during this afternoon / evening.

People shifted to cyclone center

Odisha: Residents of the coastal areas of Jagatsinghpur were shifted to a cyclone center last night to protect them from the heavy rains and winds caused by heavy cyclone Emphon.

‘Amphon’ transformed into a super cyclone on Monday 

The Meteorological Department’s cyclone emfan was 600 km south of Paradip (Odisha) and 750 km southwest of Digha (West Bengal) at 11.30 pm on Monday. Cyclone ‘Amphon’ turned into a super cyclone on Monday. This is the second event of a cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal turning into a super cyclone. According to the news agency PTI, it is likely to cause heavy destruction. Arrangements have been made to relocate the people living in the coastal areas of West Bengal and Odisha to safe places.

There is a possibility of hitting the coast of Bengal on Wednesday

Super Cyclone Amphon is expected to hit the coast of Bengal from Wednesday afternoon to evening. According to IMD Director General M. Mohapatra, Amphon will hit the coast of Bengal at a speed of 175 to 195 kilometers per hour after Wednesday afternoon. The storm between Digha near Bengal and Hatia Island in Bangladesh will cause major damage to the coastal region of Bengal.
