A major research scandal about the Corona virus has been revealed. The Lancet, one of the world’s most influential journals in the medical field, has withdrawn bogus research papers of four authors on the malaria drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine. These authors claim that the use of US President Donald Trump as game changers in the battle of the corona epidemic increases mortality in patients. With this, it is expected that the politics of hydroxychloroquine in America can be heated again.
Article published in New England Journal of Medicine
This paper consisted of four scientists. These included Dr Mandeep R Mehra, Dr Amit N Patel, Dr Sapan Desai and Dr Frank Rusitzka. After the paper was found to be fake, the famous magazine has removed this paper. However, further action is not mentioned in the magazine. This particular research paper came out when it was claimed that hydroxychloroquine is ineffective in the treatment of corona patients. After this research paper, this established belief got further air. Earlier such research was published by New England Journal of Medicine.
WHO removed from his stand for drug use
Meanwhile, World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanum Ghebreyes said experts have recommended re-testing after studying the drug’s safety data. The working group operating the WHO has recommended that all drug groups involved in the trial be continued. With this, the patients involved in the trial of corona drugs will soon be given hydroxychloroquine again. He said that this recommendation means that the doctors will start giving this medicine to the patients who have agreed to test corona drugs on themselves. The Director General said that the WHO’s Security Monitoring Committee has tested the global data of HCQ.
