India beat West Indies by 318 runs on the fourth day of the Antiga Test and made history. In terms of runs, this is the biggest win on Team India’s foreign soil. Earlier, India had the biggest victory on foreign soil by 304 runs, when it defeated Sri Lanka in Gaul in 2017. It is the fourth-largest victory in India’s Test cricket based on runs.

At the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Team India set a mammoth target of 419 runs to win in front of the West Indies, but the Caribbean team collapsed for 100 runs. This series is being played under the World Test Championship. He has scored 60 points by winning the first Test of the two-Test series.

With this, Virat Kohli has equaled Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s record of winning the most for India in the longest format of the game. Kohli has scored 27 wins in 47 matches as the captain of the Indian team, while Dhoni has so many wins in 60 matches. Also, Kohli has also become the most successful Test captain on foreign soil.

Virat Kohli has taken another record as captain. He has become the most successful Indian captain on foreign soil. He left behind Sourav Ganguly, who won 11 Test matches outside India. While Ganguly had won 11 Tests in 28 matches, Kohli has scored 12 Test matches in 26 matches.

11 Test wins, Sourav Ganguly (28 Tests in total)

6 Test wins, MS Dhoni (30 Tests in total)

5 Test wins, Rahul Dravid (17 Tests in total)

Kohli first became the captain of the Indian team in the Test. Kohli was given the command of the Test team after Dhoni retired from the Test on Australia tour in 2014.

Under his captaincy, Kohli has led India to victories in Australia, England and New Zealand at his home. However, they lost 1-2 and 1-4 in South Africa and England respectively. Kohli gave India a historic 2–1 victory in the Test in Australia last year, ending a 71-year drought.

The Indian team has taken a 1-0 lead in the current tour series. Now she will also go to clean the West Indies 2-0 in the Test series. The second and final test of the two-Test series will be played in Kingston (Jamaica) from 30 August to 3 September. It is noteworthy that the Virat Brigade captured the T20 and ODI series of this tour by 3-0 and 2-0 respectively.
