“Republic means that Gana is up and Tantra down, but in the last 72 years Tantra is up and Gana is down. Today we want to make Gana’s prestige through this tractor rally, listen to the farmers. People The mind is heard, today we want to listen to the mind of the farmers “

farmer protest leader Yogendra Yadav was seen explaining the meaning of Republic in this way. But a few hours later, the pictures that were seen on the streets of the capital Delhi did not reveal what message the farmers wanted to take out the tractor parade and send the message to the government.

The violent pictures that came from different borders in Delhi during the Kisan Tractor Parade were completely different from the peaceful movement that has been going on for the last 60 days.

On the occasion of Republic Day, farmers of Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh wanted to take out a tractor rally in a peaceful manner in protest against the new agricultural laws.

What happened at the rally?

The Supreme Court refused to ban this rally and told the farmers to talk to the police.

farmer’s protest: A route was also decided between the farmer leaders and the Delhi Police and also the time. But when the rally started on Tuesday, everything did not happen according to the schedule.

From the tractor rally of farmers, some groups reached inside the capital Delhi and went to the Red Fort, and hoisted their flag.

Apart from this, clashes with police, lathi-charge, and tear gas shells were left at many places. According to media reports, many people and policemen have been injured in the collision. Pictures of the tension built on the borders of Singhu, Tikri, Shahjahanpur, Chilli, and Ghazipur, where a large number of farmers are present with tractors.

Farmer protesters accused the police of using violence, while in many places the police were seen trying to stop the farmers who broke the barricades.

In the 72-year history of the Republic of India, the news of such violence was not seen before on 26 January.

The view around ITO

“Generally, this is the way to the Republic Day parade. But this time the parade was kept short due to Corona. Yet many routes to reach ITO were closed.

After the end of the Republic Day parade, the entire path from Pragati Maidan towards ITO was lying on tractors and farmers. This route was not in the proposed route of Kisan Rally. When I reached farmers protest the ITO on foot, tear gas shells were being released from the police on the protestors.

Some 50 agitators had iron rods in their hands. They were trying to break the police barricades. He was scrambling with those who tried to record the entire sentence. The bus on police duty was broken by the protesters.

Around one o’clock, a man came from the path of ITO towards New Delhi and said that a tractor has overturned and a man has died on that side.

We moved towards that side. It is learned that the person who died is Navneet, who is from Uttarakhand. Earlier, a lot of police were deployed in that area. But after the news of death, the police withdrew from there. The agitators placed the man’s body at the ITO intersection. There was a lot of anger among the protesters against the police and administration. The body was removed from ITO in the evening. “

Chilla and Ghazipur border

farmer protest- “The tractor rally did not begin at Chilla Border until 10.30 am. Farmers had gathered in thousands with the tractor. When I asked the policemen there when the tractor parade would be allowed to pass, they said that After the end of the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath, the farmer agitators seemed to be a little upset due to this.

After an hour, it was reported that the farmer protest people are moving towards central Delhi by breaking barricades containing cement and iron in Ghazipur.

I also grew towards that. I found that the police were present in small numbers and the peasant protesters were out of their control. There is also some residential area around the Ghazipur border, so the hands of the police were slightly tied.

The Delhi Police released tear gas shells on the agitating farmers protesting from Ghazipur towards Akshardham but there was no impact on the crowd. The crowd moved forward saying that we are going to the Red Fort.

I also asked many farmers protest that why you guys are not following the prescribed route, but they said that we do not know anything, we have to go to the Red Fort.

It was clearly seen that the protestors were not ready to listen to the farmers’ leaders. However, no big farmer leader was present on this border. In a short while, the peasant protesters put their control all over the road and the police seemed to be retreating. “

Nangloi to Lalique

“Around 11 o’clock the farmers’ tractor march started and thousands of farmers came to Nangloi shouting slogans, once they heard the police again. Actually, the farmers wanted to go directly from Nangloi towards Piragadhi but the Delhi Police gave them She was asking to go on the fixed route. There were thousands of farmers shouting slogans for many hours. Later some farmers went out on the fixed route and some towards Piragdhi. Farmers breaking the barricading imposed by the police on the way.

They started growing. After that, they were not stopped by the police but there was a violent confrontation between the farmers and the police at Nangloi Chowk. The police lathi-charged and also released tear gas shells, which also reported some injuries.

Meanwhile, farmers from the Ghazipur border had entered the Red Fort in Delhi via ITO. The farmers who came to Delhi from Nangloi also reached Lalqila and on seeing it, there was a gathering of farmers on the Red Hill. Farmers stayed at the ramparts of Lalqila for hours where the Prime Minister flags on Independence Day. The farmers also hoisted the tricolor here and marched the tractor.

Later, the police removed the peasants from the ramparts, after which the peasants who came on foot slowly left from there, but some farmers are still seen going towards the fort, thus the movement continues till five in the evening, and These areas are not yet emptied from the farmers. From here all the tractors have gone, the paths have been opened on which the traffic is moving. There has been no major incident of violence and confrontation except for a minor lathi charge on the Red Fort. “
