Merrianne will turn 29 in 2023. She was barely 12 years old when they got married in July 2006. The television programme claimed that Naomie Fells, Warren’s wife and a writer, was Naomie’s sister. When the police discovered her, she admitted to caseworkers that marrying Warren was lawful. Merrianne insisted that these unions were legal despite being informed that they weren’t.

She initially met Warren Jeffs there. In July 2006, Warren Jeffs and Marion Jessop got hitched. Marion was just 12 years old when she married Merrianne, who was not Warren’s first wife. Warren Jeffs was included on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List in 2006 because to allegations that he had arranged illegitimate unions between his adult male followers and young females. Warren Jeffs was sentenced to ten years in prison on two charges of partner rape in September 2007 and moved to the Utah State Prison. 24 of Warren Jeffs’ at least 78 spouses were under the age of 17 at the time of his arrest. After his arrest, some of Jeffs’ wives stuck by their convictions, but others turned against the cult. After his father passed away in 2002, Warren Jeffs took over as prophet of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Later on, he committed horrifying things like marrying underage girls, raping relatives, and sexually abusing kids. He thought that a man’s distance from heaven increased with the number of wives he had. He established the requirement that in order to enter paradise, a committed church member must have at least three wives.
Warren was found guilty in 2011 of two charges of sexually abusing a child in connection with Merrianne and Veda, and he was given a life sentence. Merrianne eventually spent some time in foster care before her guardianship was granted to her cousin, who was no longer a FLDS member. She was last seen returning to the Texas ranch in August 2009, according to reports, and that remains her last known location. Veda, meantime, has naturally avoided the spotlight ever after the court issue was resolved. She was located in Converse, Texas, according to a 2008 report.
