He was admitted to Sujay Hospital in Mumbai on 28 July after suffering from chest infection and pneumonia. On Tuesday, August 20, he will be given a final farewell at the JVPD Circle in South Park, Juhu, Mumbai.

The film world is in mourning with the death of Khayyam. After the death of Khayyam, many Bollywood stars have mourned him paying tribute. Filmmaker Karan Johar while paying tribute to Khayyam Saheb tweeted, ‘May your soul rest in peace Khayyam Saheb. Your music will always be alive.
