Kerala Police has arrested 28 people in a big disclosure related to child pornography. Most of them are young and high-profile IT professionals. These people are accused of watching and sharing objectionable videos of children.
The Cyber Cell of Kerala Police has registered 370 cases under the P Hunt 21.1 special operation. ADGP Manoj Abraham said that raids were conducted at 477 places across the state. A team of 310 members started raiding from Sunday morning.
During this, 429 devices were seized which include laptops, memory cards, mobile phones, hard disks, and computers. Under the law, those accused of viewing and sharing pornographic videos of children can be imprisoned for up to five years and fined Rs 10 lakh.
