Meteorologists have expressed the possibility that along with hail, celestial lightning may also fall in many areas. Due to the effect of western disturbance, there was light cloudy in the capital Doon and surrounding areas on Monday. Rainfall and snowfall continued in the mountainous areas from Sunday night to Monday morning due to which the high altitude areas including Badrinath Dham, Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers, Auli, Chinap Valley, Kuwari Pass, Gorso, Joshimath peak Sleeping Lady were covered with snow.

Along with Badrinath, there was light snowfall in high altitude areas including Kedarnath, Second Kedar Madmaheshwar and Third Kedar Tungnath. There was light rain in the valley areas including Rudraprayag district headquarters. Kedarnath Dham received intermittent snowfall for two hours a day.
