IT Raids : Anurag-Tapasi’s thorough investigation by Income Tax Department

The Income Tax Department raided 22 places in Mumbai and Pune. Anurag Kashyap’s flat was also raided. A team from the Income Tax Department had also visited the office of Phantom Film.

Mumbai: The Income Tax Department raided director Anurag Kashyap , actress Tapsi Pannu, director Vikas Behl and Madhu Montana in Mumbai yesterday. The raid continued throughout the night. Meanwhile, Tapsi Pannu and Anurag Kashyap were also interrogated in Pune. While the central government said that the income tax raid was done legally, Congress and the NCP accused it of taking revenge.

Raids on people associated with the Phantom movie

The raid was carried out by the Income Tax Department in a case of tax evasion. Anurag Kashyap , Tapsi Pannu, director Vikas Behl, Madhu Montana and people associated with Phantom Film have been raided. The Income Tax Department had received information that Phantom Cinema’s earnings had been tax evaded. The money that was made in Phantom Cinema is not given proper information.

In possession of several electronics devices from the Income Tax Department 

According to Income Tax Department sources, several electronic devices and documents were examined during the raid. How was the tax evasion amount distributed? What was bought from this or was the money sent abroad for money laundering? The income tax department is taking information about this.
