United Nations, ANI India will become the world’s most populous country after leaving China in the next eight years. There will be a reduction of 2.2 percent in the Chinese population between 2019 and 2050. This reduction will be equal to 31.4 million or 3.14 crore. This shocking disclosure has been made in the United Nations report published in the title ‘The World Population Prospects: Highlights’.
The report says that by 2050, the world’s population will increase from 7.7 billion to 9.7 billion. Not only this, half of the world’s population will be in only nine countries. These include India, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Indonesia, Egypt, and America. These countries are kept in decreasing order, according to population growth.
