India denies trump claim on Kashmir

Washington, ANI India has finally rejected the claim of U.S. President Donald Trump on the Kashmir issue. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not made any such request from the US President.

Not only this, the official statement of the White House has no mention of Kashmir. During the meeting with Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan, the US president had offered mediation on the Kashmir issue.

During the meeting with Imran Khan, Trump had claimed that Prime Minister Modi asked him for help on the Kashmir issue. Although the Ministry of External Affairs spokesman Ravish Kumar made it clear that India can not tolerate any third party on the matter.

The US State Department also said in its statement that Kashmir is a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan. We will continue to support efforts that reduce tensions between the two countries and create a conducive environment for dialogue.

In another tweet, Ravish Kumar said that it would be necessary to ban cross border terrorism for any dialogue with Pakistan. The Shimla Agreement and the Lahore Declaration will be the compliance basis for resolving bilateral disputes between India and Pakistan.

At the same time, US lawmaker Brad Sherman has termed Trump’s claim as false. He has said that PM Modi will never suggest third party mediation on Kashmir. Trump’s statement is shameful. He said that everyone knows that India has continued to oppose third-party mediation on Kashmir.
