In the 15th over, Pollard completed a half-century by hitting Pandya for a six. During this time, he faced 40 balls and hit a four and five sixes. West Indies’ score was 100 runs after losing 4 wickets after 15 overs. Pollard’s explosive innings (58 runs, 45 balls, one four and six sixes) was finally bowled by Navdeep Saini.

In the 18th over, Rahul Chahar took his first international wicket by catching Carlos Brathwaite (10) with Washington Sundar. After this, Rowman Powell scored 32 runs with the help of two sixes and a four off 20 balls and continued Pollard’s work. Carlos Brathwaite contributed 10 and Fabian Allen contributed eight not out. For India, Deepak took three, Saini took two and leg-spinner Rahul Chahar, playing his first match, took one wicket.

India won toss
